This is really cool but I must admit it makes me feel totally talentless. I would like to see a tutorial on how to create a certificate seal.

I am trying to create certificates for those who pass a training program. The seal would be used in a PDF document.

Rest assured that I haven't abandoned Rapid Fire, I'm just swamped with a lot of work that I haven't been updating my blog lately.
This one of the best installments yet, second only to the photo-realistic legend you started with! When do we get to see the next one?

neo: From my experience, Fireworks' Inset Path function has some problems. It seems to work fine with small Width values (10-15), but becomes unpredictable with larger values.

With that in mind, always choose the sharp corner option to avoid curving sharp edges. Also, if you're doing large insets, do it in increments of Width(10) or smaller. That should take care of your inset problems. ;)

Hi Brownspank, I hope you had a wonderful easter.

I have a question if you don't mind. How do I contract or expand a vector shape in its precise form. I have tried using the inset function on fireworks and setting variable input limits but the result is not perfect and accurate. Sometimes a shape with both square and curve edges , turn square edges into curve. The only perfect inset it has done is square. How do I solve this problem.

Thank you in advance,
Neo
